Why is Viathor uniquely qualified to support CTBridge?
In 1999, Clark Verkler began employment with Caltrans for the express purpose of helping to program CTBridge. Clark brought with him a wealth of experience working with commercial software as well as practical bridge design and analysis experience. In previous employment, Clark had already filled the role of a lead programmer on several large-scale software projects involving the AASHTO LRFD bridge design specifications.
During the early years of CTBridge development, Clark became principal architect and the lead programmer on the CTBridge project. His early prototypes became the foundation of CTBridge today, and he is intimately familiar with every aspect of the CTBridge source code.
As lead programmer, Clark coded the majority of the CTBridge source code, including the following areas:
Considering his role in the development of CTBridge, Clark is the best person in or out of Caltrans to support CTBridge.
Limitations on CTBridge Support
Viathor is not associated in any way with Caltrans and does not have access to the CTBridge source code. We will therefore not be able to implement bug fixes.
For example, we cannot make changes to the CTBridge source code and cannot correct malfunctions. However, we are in the best position to determine a work-around and explain program behavior. If there are problems, we can notify Caltrans and may be able to help them zero in on the problem.
Viathor has no control over how Caltrans distributes and prices CTBridge. Viathor is also unable to provide support on installation issues.
Please note that Caltrans has not made any endorsement of Viathor products and services.
We are offering CTBridge Support at the annual rate of $500.00 per seat licensed from Caltrans.
